I am very blessed to be teaching at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. My two daughters both attend, and love this school. I previously taught for nine years at Villa Maria School and The Children's Guild in Baltimore. Empowering children with a strong self-esteem and love of learning is an important part of my teaching philosophy. In 2001, I received my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Loyola University, and I currently hold an Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate with the State of Maryland. In 2002, I took a break from teaching to stay home with my daughters. I came to IHM first as a parent and volunteer, and then as an assistant to the 4's. This is my 6th year teaching the Pre-K3 students, and I absolutely love every minute of it! - Ana Maria McIntyre
Hi, and welcome to IHM! I have been volunteering and/or working at IHM for the last 8 years. First, as a volunteer, next as a part-time afternoon Pre-K assistant, then as the 3's assistant, and afternoon 4's teacher. I have two daughters attending IHM; Emma in 8th grade and Anna in 6th grade. I also stay as involved with volunteering at IHM as my time allows. My educational background is in Early Childhood Education. I hold a B.A. degree from UMBC in Psychology and Early Childhood Education. I taught Pre-K for 9 years before staying home with my girls. Seven of those years were spent at St. Thomas Aquinas in Baltimore City. I look forward to a very exciting year with your children! - Stacie Handley
